Midnight Rambles of a City

Things feel right when the puzzle pieces seem to fit one after the other. There’s not much thought to them; they just snuggle up to each other. That’s what living in a small city of less than 200k in population feels like. Because just the right people live here, the places you visit are more meaningful.

Less travel time but more ways to run into people or the same guy you saw at McDonald’s the night before with his “crew” who then asks you to follow him on Instagram because, well why not; who then proceeds to make you follow his best friend sitting on the loveseat at the Starbucks with his girlfriend. Sigh.

Teenagers.

It’s a game of who-knows-who here, and a good one to play. The right people yield the best company, we all know this. Sharing time with new people, even strangers, can be a delight. This sound too positive, not every one is as nice, most are generally if treated right.

It’s seemingly the least thought of places, but I’ve found a particular people to be in communion with. There’s growth here through these friendships, in this city, with these puzzle pieces.

Things just fit right for the moment.
